Over 50% Electors Vote in Moscow for Azerbaijan’s Presidential Elections

Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 October / Trend corr. E.Tariverdiyeva/ About 50% of electors took part in Azerbaijan's presidential vote in Moscow as of 16.00 [local time], an employee of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia said to Trend in a telephone conversation on 15 October. The polling station operates at the Embassy.   

Over 700 Azerbaijani citizens, with 1,562 temporary residing in Moscow and registered at the Azerbaijani Embassy's Consulate Department, voted.  

Seven candidates run for presidency at the 15 October presidential elections, including Ilham Aliyev, chairman of Ruling New Azerbaijan Party, Igbal Agazade, chairman of opposition Umid (Hope) Party, Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman of Great Establishment Party, Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Unified Popular Front Party, Hafiz Hajiyev, chairman of Muasir Musavat Party, Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Liberal Democrat Party and independent candidate Gulamhuseyn Alibayli.
