The Georgian-Russian public commission will meet in Minsk on Feb. 6 to discuss individuals who went missing during the August conflict and tortures, the commission's Georgian section head Malkhaz Gulashvili told journalists. The commission was established to resolve conflicts in the Caucasus.
The commission will compare available information.
"We have agreed with the Georgian Interior Ministry and Defense Ministry that they will provide us with the necessary information. The Russian side will also provide us with information," Gulashvili said. At the meeting, Georgia will be represented by three people, including expert Mamuka Areshidze. He is engaged in prisoners exchanges. Areshidze said Russia reported on the whereabouts of one captive.Georgian said 14 servicemen and police officers went missing in the Georgian-Russian August war.
