Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Feb. 10/ Trend E. Hasanov/ The President of Turkmenistan Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov, who will make an official visit to Tehran soon, has received an invitation from the President of Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to participate in the summit of member-countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) due on Mar. 11, 2009 in Tehran.
"The ECO needs the support of its member-countries at the highest level in the period of prosperity and implementation of agreements. I believe that Tehran summit will create such an opportunity," the message says.
In the period when economic crisis, occurring due to industrial western countries, covered world peoples, preservation and strengthening of unity and cooperation within the ECO have great importance in resisting this crisis.
"I am sure that this summit to be held under motto of Regional unity to overcome the international financial crisis will achieve important results for success and prosperity of region's peoples under conformity of opinions of the ECO member-countries. I pray for Allah about luck and success of Your Excellency, happiness and prosperity of friendly and fraternal Turkmen people and nation," Iranian President said.
