At a meeting with heads of regional councils in Kyiv on Tuesday, Tymoshenko called on them to discuss at the level of their parties how to override the president's veto in parliament to ultimately pass the laws necessary for the regions' proper functioning, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
"If we put to the vote on Thursday all if these laws, which we need and you need, we should have 300-400 votes in the parliament. We are currently witnessing an abnormal situation in which a law is being passed by 400 votes, then it is vetoed and there is no one to override this veto," Tymoshenko said.
The premier said that this was the case with the law on providing additional financing to Artek international children center, which the president vetoed.
"Tell me what's wrong with assigning additional funds to Artek?" Tymoshenko said.
The law on overcoming the crisis in the farm sector, which was supported by 300 MPS, suffered the same fate, said the premier.
"This has become a regularity," she said.
The Verkhovna Rada also passed the law aimed at overcoming the crisis in industrial sectors, but the head of state refused to sign it.
"These look like deliberate actions, which could be called sabotage. At the same time, I believe if all the parties with seats in the parliament unite around the pragmatic decisions, which we need immediately, we will get results," Tymoshenko said.
The head of government called on the meeting participants to start working with the leaders of their political forces and to present them a list of bills necessary for the regions.
All the branches of power should be working together, Tymoshenko said.
