Georgia, Tbilisi, May 18 / Trend , N.Kirtzkhalia/
In parallel with the proposals put forward by the President of Georgia, the authorities are prepared to listen to the arguments of radical opposition. One of the leaders of the parliamentary majority Giorgi Gabashvili told journalists that it is desirable that the next round of talks will take place by the end of the week.
The negotiations between the authorities and radical opposition will be discussed at the meeting of European Union Special Representative Peter Semneby with the governing forces. The meeting will focus on the five proposals that were made by the opposition in the first round
"We are ready to listen to their proposals, but only without ultimatums which they have put forward to us for more than a month," Gabashvili said.
However, most readers of the Kviris palette weekly do not believe that the dialogue between the authorities and opposition will have any real results. The survey conducted by the newspaper showed that 50.3 percent of 405 people taking part in the survey think so.
Only 18.5 percent of people believe in efficiency of these talks.
Some 31.2 percent of the surveyed people faced difficulty to answer the question - whether the government-opposition dialogue will be fruitful.
