On Oct. 8-10, Ashgabat will host an international scientific conference "Protection and management of biological resources of the Caspian Sea", the official Turkmen sources said.
At the same time, the Turkmen State Committee of Fisheries will hold an international exhibition "Fisheries of Turkmenistan - 2009". The interested organizations and companies, foreign companies and firms, commercial agents and professionals have been invited to attend this event.
Turkmenistan, along with Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Iran borders the Caspian Sea, rich in biodiversity. The country's fisheries are experiencing modernization, a modern infrastructure of the fishing industry is being created and new and upgraded existing enterprises are being constructed.
