Azerbaijan's national holiday the Day of Republic for the first time will be held in Malta, Azerbaijani Ambassador in Malta in residence in Roma Emil Karimov told Trend .
President of Malta George Abela, as well as senior archbishop, speaker and state officials will attend a ceremony, which is organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in this country.
A video material about the Azerbaijani republic will be demonstrated at the ceremony. Souvenirs will be presented to guests.
Azerbaijan and Malta established diplomatic relations in January 1995. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Italy is also an Ambassador to Malta.
