Islamophobia must be prevented in Central Asia: SCO secretary general

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and other organizations are concerned with terrorism in the Central Asia. But islamophobia must be prevented from appearing in the region, SCO Secretary General Bolat Nurgaliyev said.
"Ensuring friendly relations in the region is one of the priorities of the organization," Nurgaliyev said to reporters during the forum of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council in Astana.
All conflicts must be solved through dialogue and compromise, he said.
The SCO includes Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
