"Azerbaijan is a country with a high level of religious and ethnic tolerance, it's wonderful that people, who respect their tradition and religion may live in the country, and as the Russian Ambassador this really pleases me," Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vladimir Dorokhin, said at a meeting with the villagers from Ivanovka in the Ismayilli Region on Aug. 28.
On Aug. 28, the Russian Ambassador visited the village of Ivanovka which his mainly populated by Russian-speaking people. Approximately 3,200 people live in the village.
During the visit, Dorokhin visited the Museum of Heydar Aliyev, which is to be opened in October, as well as the collective farm and the school, which entered the list of the top 50 high schools in 2009.
The diplomat met with the chairman of the collective farm, Mikhail Pantserov, and the head of the Ismayilli Region executive authorities.
