Georgian Labor Party leader Shalva Natelashvili is holding meetings with U.S. political, diplomatic and social circle representatives as part of his visit to the U.S.
In New York Natelashvili met with students and teachers at Columbia University, including Professor Kimberly Marten, and delivered a lecture on the geopolitical situation in the region and Georgia, the party's Ideological Secretary Kaxa Dzaqaniya said today.
Natelashvili met with the U.S. State Department's Office Director on Caucasus Conflicts Ethan Goldridzh in Washington. A round-table was held at the State Department with the participation of leading experts and analysts.
"Natelashvili appealed to the U.S. State Department to dispatch a monitoring group to Georgia to study Saakashvili regime's criminal acts. He also demanded to investigate the expenditure of hundreds of millions in loans and grants, which Saakashvili's corrupt government assigned," Dzaqaniya said.
