The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan has registered 411 local observers for the municipal elections. 377 observers were registered on their own initiative and 15 - on the basis of special permission, the CEC press service told Trend .
From the political parties, five observers were registered, four of whom represent New Azerbaijan Party and one - the Communist Party.
Fourteen observers were registered at the initiative of non-governmental organizations. The number of observers who have been registered in constituencies is 4,621.
From the political parties, were registered 1,999 local observers, on their own initiative - 2,257, on the initiative of NGOs - 365.
Municipal elections in Azerbaijan will be held on Dec. 23.
