Turkmen Interior Ministry received from international organizations newly equipped rehabilitation centre for drug addicted prisoners in the activity therapy centre in Tejen.
This project is implemented under the Central Asia Drug Action Programme (CADAP). The goal of the project, implemented by the EU and the UN, is the gradual introduction of the European experience in combating drugs in the beneficiary countries.
The total amount of repairs and equipment (furniture, medical and office equipment) in the project was 203,000 euros, the UN said. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the EU, UN, Interior Ministry and Turkmen State Service on combating drug addiction.
