Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed several decrees and orders this year to forge closer ties with foreign countries.
The president signed an order approving a protocol of cooperation signed by the Azerbaijani and Serbian foreign ministries May 13 in Baku today, the AzerTaj state news agency reported.
Based on the decree, he also approved an agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation signed by the Azerbaijani and Stavropol regional governments April 28.
Aliyev also signed a decree on an agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Jordan May 16, and an order approving a memorandum of understanding on energy cooperation signed Feb. 2 by the Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Ministry and the Romanian Economy, Trade and Business Environment Ministry.
He also signed an order on an agreement signed by Azerbaijan and Egypt May 24, as well as a decree on documents signed by Azerbaijan and Belarus June 2.
