Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 20 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /

The Georgian opposition National Council will submit a claim against world-famous Tbilisi-based jewelry store Swarovski. Council member and Conservative Party leader Zviad Dzidziguri said despite many warnings, the shop did not place the inscription in the Georgian language on the facade and will therefore be sued by the council.

Dzidziguri said it will be an example for other companies so that they respect the Georgian language and, along with foreign brand names, hung out the Georgian inscription.

"It will be a kind of test for the Georgian Court, how it will protect the honor of the Georgian language," he said.

Meanwhile, the Georgian representative of the Swarovski told Trend that there had been no violation under the existing legislation.
