The leader of the People's Assembly Nino Burjanadze appeared at Freedom Square an hour after her supporters. She told media about the reasons of the delayed start of the rally .

She said that the police blocked the subway . They do not allow people to go to the square . "People walk to the square and we are waiting for them," she said.

U p to 3,000 people gathered at the square.

A plan of "final overthrow of President Saakashvili" must be announced at the rally.

O ne of the leaders of the People's Assembly, former head of the Georgian State Security Irakli Batiashvili told media that " People's Assembly" is ready to take decisive action s. T oday the supporters of the movement will not disband.

Meanwhile, special security measures were taken at the State Chancellery and the Georgian Parliament. S pecial police units were mobilized. They are near the Department of Constitutional Security.
