On Wednesday, Tajik Foreign Minister Khamrokhon Zarifi received credential copies from the Kazakh ambassador to Tajikistan Agybay Smagulov, Tajikistan's Foreign Ministry reported on its official website.
Zarifi praised the dynamically developing multi-aspect bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. He stressed the importance of fulfilling plans of mutual interest and underlined the need to expand trade and economic relations between the two countries.
In his turn, Smagulov expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet and discuss issues, and promised to make maximum efforts for the development and strengthening of Tajik-Kazakh relations.
The meeting also discussed cooperation of international organizations and issues pertaining to the region. The governments enunciated their desire for a bilateral development of a mutually beneficial relationship and partnership in various spheres.
