Int'l diplomatic academy forum to be held in Baku in 2012

A traditional annual forum of diplomatic academies and universities, specializing in international relations, was held at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy on September 25-28, Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) told Trend on Thursday.
The forum brought together deans and rectors of more than a hundred diplomacy academies and universities. They discussed issues of regional cooperation within diplomatic training, international business diplomacy, transitional diplomacy, the role of diplomacy in resolving environmental issues, multilateral diplomacy at the UN, and other urgent topics.
Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister, ADA rector Hafiz Pashayev attended the forum. On the last day of the meeting Pashayev told participants about the development and progress of the Academy. He said that construction of the ADA modern educational complex will be completed by next year. Pashayev proposed holding the next forum in Azerbaijan in 2012.
Pashayev said that the ADA may pose a clear example of how special attention is given by the state toward developing education for the international community.
The proposal to hold another forum in Baku was supported unanimously.
The international forum of diplomatic institutions has been carried out since 1972. The ADA has been taking part in these forums since 2006.
