Drones to patrol Iranian borders

In order to control its borders from the air, Iran will use unmanned aircraft, Deputy Commander of the Frontier troops Ahmed Geravend said, the website of the Iranian TV channel iribnews reported.
Geravend said this step will be taken as directed by the Ministry of Interior to prevent the illegal entry and exit from the country and the smuggling of drugs. Currently, light and medium drones are tested which will soon be used for border protection, he added.
Geravend also said that along with the drones, night vision cameras and radars of new generation will also be used for border surveillance.
