A concrete and principled struggle with all the negative actions committed by employees of the Azerbaijani prosecution bodies will be continued with the same intensity, Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov said in an article published in the newspaper Azerbaijan today.
He said that some 13 employees were dismissed from the prosecution bodies last year and for the last period of this year.
Garalov said that around 68 and 47 employees were severely punished in a disciplined manner in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
"Four employees were dismissed from the prosecution bodies in 2011, nine employees were dismissed over the past period and three of them were brought to justice," he said. "A preventive measure in the form of arrest was applied for gross violation of official discipline, inappropriate actions of the investigator and prosecutor, violations of the requirements of the "Code of ethics for employees of prosecution bodies of the Azerbaijan Republic", the rule of law while investigating criminal cases and the actions pursued by the criminal law."
