Chairman of the Azadliq party Ahmed Oruj, represented in the Advisory Council of Democratic Forces (ACDF) has urged his colleagues to back off.
"The biggest mistake of the opposition is that its politicians, who are no longer supported by our society, try to create the impression that they are one of the main figures in the political arena. You already know that while some opposition parties are supported by the West, society considers them liars and culprits of the twenty-year-long defeat of the opposition," chairman of the Azadliq party Ahmed Orudj said to Trend.
Touching on the theme of cooperation of the ACDF with other groups from the opposition, Orudj said that works conducted in this area yield no results.
"Last September, we offered cooperation to the so-called Public Chamber. They gave us no answer. However they mentioned that they advocate for functional cooperation, although later it became clear that they did not even dream about it", Orudj said.
According to him, only some parties that are included in this structure pretend to be willing to cooperate and send invitations for their events just for the sake of creating the appearance of unity of opposition.
"We have appealed to the Forum of intellectuals, but they did not answer us. And now the Forum of intellectuals is itself in a critical situation. As you know, the so-called Public Chamber experiences some problems with the presidential elections. In fact, they have divided into separate groups and camps. Only our camp still retains its position," the party chairman said.
According to him, the opposition should think of national interests first.
