CIS Heads of Government Council signs 12 cooperation agreements
Twelve international documents on cooperation were signed on Friday at the meeting of CIS Heads of Government Council, Belarusian PM Mikhail Myasnikovich told at the press conference, Belta reported.
One of the final documents is the Protocol on Uzbekistan's accession to join the CIS free trade agreement. Thus, the agreement has been signed by nine states of the Commonwealth by now. Enlargement of the participation of CIS countries in the area of free trade shows its advantages - it is the barrier-free movement of capital, goods and services, conscientious competition, new forms of investment cooperation, Mikhail Myasnikov underscored.
Documents in the spheres of science, ecology, education, communication, physical training and sport were signed. An agreement on cooperation in use of nuclear power for peaceful purposes was signed as well.
Eleven pilot projects of the interstate program of innovative cooperation of CIS countries were approved. Belarusian scientists, businesses and educational institutions participate in the 9 of these projects. The total cost of the project is more than 190 million dollars.
