Expediency Discernment Council's Chairman and former Iranian President, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani condemned USA sanctions against Iran during his meeting with politicians yesterday, ILNA news agency reported.
According to the report, Rafsanjani evaluated election of Hassan Rohani as a good chance and express his hope that the president-elect will solve current problems of the country.
He condemned scheduled sanctions of USA and added that this country should stop extending the sanctions, the report said.
Earlier the American Secretary of State John Kerry expressed his admiration with Iranian people's courage in election of Hassan Rohani, but according to the previous schedule, USA has imposed new sanctions against Tehran.
