President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received president of the Conference of European National Librarians Bruno Racine and vice-president of the Library Assembly of Eurasia Gulisa Balabekova.
The Head of State stressed the importance of holding the meeting of the Conference of European National Librarians in Azerbaijan, which would be attended by representatives of a number of countries.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the issues to be discussed at the conference would contribute to deepening international cooperation in developing library work.
The Head of State expressed hope the visit of the conference participants to Azerbaijan will give them an opportunity to closely familiarize themselves with the country.
President of the Conference of European National Librarians Bruno Racine said the building of Azerbaijan National Library had deeply impressed them.
Racine said they would attend the opening of the 3rd Baku International Book Exhibition and Fair and an event marking the 90th anniversary of the establishment of Azerbaijan`s National Library.
He stressed the importance of the Baku meeting of the Conference of European National Librarians.
