Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 13 / Trend E. Mehdiyev /

The Azerbaijani Central Election Commission (CEC) held a regular meeting on Sunday, dedicated to the consideration of appeals submitted to the CEC.

CEC Secretary Arifa Ahundova stressed that presidential candidate from the National Council Jamil Hasanli's authorized representative Gulaga Aslanli made an appeal about offenses in some polling stations. This appeal was submitted to the CEC.

According to the relevant requirements of the Election Code, it was found as a result of the investigation that the acts submitted by Gulaga Aslanli are copies, rather than original, Akhundova said.

According to Akhundova, CEC representatives contacted several times with Gulaga Aslanli and asked to submit the original acts for examining this issue, but Aslanli refused.

"As there are no original documents, the appeal is invalid and will not be considered," Ahundova said.

Then the issue about the failure of considering Gulaga Aslanli's appeal was put to the vote and was passed by the CEC representatives.

CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov also stressed that all protocols from polling stations were submitted to the CEC within two days.
