Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov. 1
Azerbaijani-Russian interregional forums that are held in both Azerbaijan and Russia, make positive contribution to strengthening strategic partnership and helping to enhance the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, said Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev in his message addressed to the participants of the ongoing 7th Azerbaijani-Russian Interregional Forum, which opened in Baku on Nov. 1.
The message was read out by the president's aide for public and political affairs, Ali Hasanov.
“I cordially congratulate you on the beginning of the 7th Azerbaijani-Russian interregional forum, which is being held in Baku,” said Ilham Aliyev.
An imposing list of participants and rich programs of forums, which cover a wide range of topical issues, are a clear evidence of the increased interest in these forums, noted the president's message.
Ilham Aliyev underlined in his message that it is quite natural, since direct dialogue is conducted on the sidelines of these forums, and new business contacts are established, constructive initiatives and innovative projects, aimed at deepening of Azerbaijani-Russian relations, come out.
Undoubtedly, a specific agenda of the next meeting will allow the participants to identify ways to enhance trade and economic cooperation, discuss the prospects of tourist flows, exchange experiences in the fields of industry and agriculture, talk about the dynamics of cultural and humanitarian component of bilateral relations, said Ilham Aliyev.
The president also noted in his message that considering the strong economic potential and rich experience of joint work that the two countries have, it is necessary to unite the efforts more closely and further strengthen the cooperation between the two countries’ regions.
This is very important in the current difficult time, when the global crisis has led to serious changes across the world, says the message.
“I hope that you will be able to coordinate positions on various issues regarding economy and investments, culture and education, determine priorities and develop more effective forms of cooperation,” noted Ilham Aliyev. “I am confident that this forum will be held in a constructive atmosphere, will be remembered for interesting projects and meaningful discussions, and most importantly, will bring real benefits to our countries.”
He also wished fruitful work and practical results, good health and all the best to all the participants of the forum.
