No Azerbaijanis among Berlin incident victims (UPDATE)

There are no citizens of Azerbaijan among those killed and injured in the Berlin incident, Hikmat Hajiyev, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, told Trend Dec. 20.
Hajiyev said the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany obtained this information from the German law enforcement agencies.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry extended condolences over the tragic incident in Berlin, as a result of which people were killed and injured.
“The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expresses its deep condolences to the bereaved families and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured,” according to the Foreign Ministry’s message.
A truck ploughed into a crowded Christmas market in Breitscheidplatz, West Berlin, on Dec. 19 evening, killing at least 12 people and injuring 48 others.
