Head of OSCE Belgian office holds negotiations in Baku

Pier Shevalie, the head of the OSCE Belgian representative office, held negotiations in Baku on Monday, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Trend.

Series of meetings started with the negotiations with Elmar Mammadyarov, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, and Nizamy Bahmanov, the head of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh. The schedule also includes meetings with Murtuz Alasgarov, the Milli Majlis (Parliament) speaker, Mauricio Pavesi, the head of the OSCE Baku office. The meeting with Ilham ALiyev, the Azerbaijani President, is not excluded as well.

Shevalie will leave Baku on Tuesday. The visit is paid within the tour of the South Caucasus countries.

Belgium will chair at the OSCE in 2006.
