Working group of Ukrainian government to pay a visit to Baku

“The experts of the Ukrainian government will pay a visit to Baku soon,” Igor Kizima, the charge d’affair of Ukraine, told Trend.

According to Kizima, the goal of the experts is to prepare for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation to be held till late 2005.

The agenda will include the issues related to joint oil transportation via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, delivery of early crops to Ukraine, holding of Azerbaijan’s Year in Ukraine and Ukraine’s Year in Azerbaijan. The sides plan to organize business forum and exhibition of Ukrainian goods in Azerbaijan on the eve of the meeting.

One of the main issued to be discussed at the meeting will be purchase of several air freighters and passenger planes, as well as tankers and dry-cargo ships by Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani co-chairman is the Vice-Premier, Abbas Abbasov, the Ukrainian one - his counterpart Stanislav Stashevsky.
