The first lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva was declared the Person of 2005 by the ANS group of companies and the Chingiz Mustafayev Fund, Trend reports referring to ANS TV channel.
Aliyeva was declared the Person of 2005 for services in preserving of the national-culture heritage, forming of the countrys positive image as the UNESCO Good Will Ambassador, organization and holding of the world gymnastics championship in Azerbaijan for the first time, as well as charitable activities and development of education system within the program New school to renewed Azerbaijan.
