Under the 44 Article of the National Independence Party of Azerbaijan (NIPA) charter, I announce convocation on 22 January 2006 of the extraordinary congress for passing confidence to the party chairman, the NIPA leader Etibar Mammadov address indicates, according to Trend.
The reason for the address was the information spread by the NIPA chairman Ali Aliyev that the partys central council does not possess powers to convene the extraordinary session.
The Mammadov address underlines that according to the Article 57 of the NIPA charter at the demand of 1/3 of the members (71 votes) of the central council the extraordinary congress may be convened.
The NIPA leader addressed also the congress participants. В"The inner-party problems need to be discussed at the NIPA legitimate structures, but not in the media. In this regard I invite you to discuss the situation at the congress, Mammadov said.
