Kazakhstan prepares to rank among 50 more competitive countries in world - Andar Shukputov

TrendKazakhstan will rank among 50 more competitive countries in the world soon, Trend reports quoting Andar Shukputov, the Kazakh Ambassador to Azerbaijan, as saying at a news conference on Thursday.

According to Shukputov, Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Kazakh President, determined the strategy of Kazakhstans ranking among 50 more competitive countries in the world, envisaging 7 priorities such as successful integration into world economy, further modernization and diversification of economy, modern social policy aimed at defense of vulnerable levels of population, etc.

Shukputov said that economic figures of the country promoted joining of Kazakhstan the list of 50 more competitive countries in the world. Thus, in 2005 GDP comprised $56.5bn, investments - $ 16.7bn, average salary - $234.

At present some tasks are set before of the government on strengthening of national safety, democratization of civil society, continuation of large-scale democratic reforms.
