By paying attention to events taking place in some countries, we dont serve the interests of Azerbaijan, said Mubariz Gurbanli, the deputy of the parliament and also deputy executive secretary of Yeni Azerbaijan party, in the next session of Milli Mejlis held on 23 May, 2006, Trend reports.
Deputy noted that different positions of the parliamentary deputies are published in the press. The press can touch up on many issues and for self-advertisement, they may give sensational information. I cannot understand why we allocate so much time to the published articles. If we allocate time to articles published in the press, we will not have time to discuss
the issues on the agenda, said Gurbanli.
Gurbanli stated that Azerbaijan was located in a very sensible region. For the protection of its sovereignty, Azerbaijan holds serious fight in political, economical and international sphere. Therefore, we should carefully approach to our appearances. We should take into consideration the interests of Azerbaijan. By paying attention to the events taking place in some countries, we dont serve the interests of Azerbaijan, said Gurbanli.
According to Gurbanli, it is quite other question what position Azerbaijan expresses towards events taking place in the countries. For this issue, there is inter-parliamentary commission. Such issues are discussed in close manner in some countries. Deputies should feel responsibility during such appearances.
