Fourth session of workgroup for creation of National Association of Municipalities of Azerbaijan started in Baku
4th session of workgroup for creation of National Association of Municipalities of Azerbaijan (NAMA) started June 28 in Baku, Trend reports.
Workgroup of NAMA consisting of 25 members of municipalities was established with support of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities (CLRA) with the CE. The final draft of association charter is put for examination of the 7th seminar of NAMAs executive group to pass in January 2007, and then it will be directed to NAMAs Forum for approval.
Third meeting of workgroup was held in Baku May 6 to 7, 2006. NAMAs project manager is Carolyn Martin, CLRAs representative, and financial expenses are reimbursed by Norwegian government.
By the totals of the second session of the workgroup (February 8-9, 2006, Baku) its management was elected. Tahir Guliyev was elected the head of group, and Gulnaz Salamova, Shamistan Yusifov and Ramil Mustafayev his deputies.
Heads of the workgroup already attended the CLRA session that passed February 23-24, 2006 in Strasburg.
