If the composition of the election commissions is formed again, the Azadlig (Freedom) block will participate in the elections, Ali Karimli, the leader of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP), told journalists, Trend reports.
He noted that there are several reasons for not participating in municipal elections. Indeed, we want to participate in the elections. However, unfortunately, the composition of the elections commissions hasnt been formed on a parity base to date. And we need to boycott the elections, Karimov stressed.
Besides, Karimli pointed out that if the composition of the election commissions is formed again, then they will participate in the elections.
He touched upon the changes to the Electoral Code. Karimli expressed that Azerbaijan government promised, together with Venetian Commission to make changes, to the Electoral Code.
