Zakir Garalov, the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, said on 8 August that an investigation into the case kinked with Barmek Azerbaijan company, an energy distributor, will be complete in two months and the senior officials of the company will be jailed as they deserve. As a result of investigation their criminal responsibilities will be considered. .
The Prosecutor Generals office filed a suit against the energy distributing company Barmek. Several employees of the company, including the locals and foreigners, were arrested during the investigation.
Employees of the company are accused of misappropriation of public funds, non-implementation of commitments undertaken and other illegal actions. At present the investigation in to the case is underway.
