From 15 to 16 September, the first meeting of experts of Special Service and Law-Enforcement Bodies of GUAM countries for Fight with Terrorism was held in Baku, Trend reports with reference to the public relations department of Azerbaijan National Security Ministry.
The event was held through organizational support of the Ministry and Euro-Atlantic Advisory Group in accordance with the annual plan of the Working Group of GUAM for Fight with Terrorism, Dissemination of Drugs and other dangerous types of organized criminality.
The event brougn together the representatives of the special service and law-enforcement bodies of Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Grogia and Moldova, members of the Euro-Atlantic Advisory Group and the employees of the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan.
The representative of the National Security Ministry mentioned the important questions such as receiving of concrete information about the plans and intentions of international terrorism organizations, their financial sources, as well as their exchange among GUAM countries, and stressed the importance of holding this proces in more effective form.
Moreover, Azerbaijani side informed the participants of the meeting about the Armenian aggression, its threats for the security of transport and energy infrastructures, and the measures taken to prevent them.
A result protocol was adopted as a result of the meeting.
