Today, on September 21, a sitting of the Permanent Commission of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) for Natural Resources, Energy, and Ecological Issues has been held, Trend reports referring to the press-service of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
The sitting was opened by Valekh Alaskarov, Vice-Speaker and Chairman of the Commission. The draft On Passing the Agreement On Support and Creatuion of Conditions between Azerbaijan Republic and the republic of Kazakhstan for Oil Export from Kazakhstan to International Oil Markets via the Territory of Azerbaijan republic (via the Caspoian Sea and the Pipeline System Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan were submitted to the MPs consideration
The Chairman of the Commission told that the agreement was signed between the Azerbaijani and Kazakhstan Presidents on June 16, 2006. He said that one of the main terms of the agreement is to create conditions for oil export via the Transcaspian system, and non-harming the transport routes.
The members of the Commission and specialists considered expedient to submit this document to the Milli Majlis.
