The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, stated in his interview with the foreign media accredited in Russia that the issue on membership at NATO does not depend only on Azerbaijan
The head of state noted that the organization should be also interested in Azerbaijan's entrance to the organization. The country should be interested and ready for it. We are efficiently cooperating with NATO within the framework of a dialogue and its Partnership for Peace Program. Two years ago we have passed to a new format of cooperation within the framework of Azerbaijan-NATO Action Plan, Aliyev stressed.
In addition, Azerbaijan jointly with NATO carries out peacekeeping mission. We have a very efficient cooperation and we are satisfied with it. The time and future developments will show the result of cooperation, Mr. Aliyev emphasized.
