A delegation of the Venice Committee of the Council of Europe is expected to arrive in Baku at the beginning of November, the Press Service of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) told Trend today.
It was pointed out that the main aim of the forthcoming visit is to discuss an Azerbaijani bill On Freedom of Gatherings. Representatives of the Venice Committee are expected to put forward their proposals concerning This Bill during the discussions with the participation of the Azerbaijani Government and OSCE. For its part, the Azerbaijani party is ready to review all the proposals in order that the Azerbaijani legislation will meet all international standards.
