Chairman of CEC: Study of Activity of Constituencies Must Be Conducted Throughout

Today, Mazahir Panakhov, Chairman of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of Azerbaijan has held a meeting with members of the monitoring group of the Committee, a source in CEC has informed Trend.

Prior to the monitoring of the constituencies being launched, he gave final commissions to members of the group, and pointed out that during the monitoring, it was necessary to hold a large-scale check of the conditions of the buildings where the local election committees were located, as well as to check the table on paying the wages to employees of the constituencies and polling stations. First,

the monitoring will cover constituencies located on the territory of Baku, Sumgayit, and the Absheron Peninsula. The monitoring will be held on constituencies on the territory where refugees and IDPs were settled.

These arrangements are expected to be held totally in 38 constituencies. The process to be held on 15 November is expected to be completed until the end of November. After completing the monitoring in the above-mentioned constituencies, such arrangements are expected to be held in other local election committees as well.

Natig Mammadov, Secretary of CEC, also gave recommendations concerning the forthcoming work to members of the groups to hold the monitoring.
