Head of AzerRos: AzerRos to Further Assist Entrepreneurship Activity of Azerbaijanis in Russia within Existing Legislation

Nobody can create obstacles for Azerbaijani citizens to be engaged in business in Russia. Everything is just needed to be legally formed and registered, Soyun Sadikhov, President of the federal National and Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis of Russia AzerRos, told Trend commenting the decision made by the Russian Government. According to the decision, starting from January 15, 2007, all foreign citizens are prohibited to be engaged in selling pharmaceuticals and alcohol, and starting from April 1, they cannot engage in retail trade at all.

Mr. Sadikhov said that everyone should treat to the above-mentioned decision as a Russian domestic law, in the given case as a law of country of residence, including Azerbaijani citizens. Being a civilized country, Russia is establishing order in the sphere of trade. And that is quite normally. However, no law can prohibit foreign citizens to be engaged in business activity. The aim of the Government's decision is to put the situation into a good order and allow legal and physical persons, to fulfill their activity in accordance with the existing legislation of the country, and be engaged in the entrepreneurship activity.

The President of AzerRos said that the Autonomy of Azerbaijanis in Russia, use all of its potential, including information resources, sites, newspapers, and magazines, will do all possible to increase the level of the legal awareness of Azerbaijani citizens. Both in Moscow and in the region. We will do all our best to assist Azerbaijani citizens in forming corresponding documents to continue their entrepreneurship activity within the Russian legislation, said Mr. Sadikhov.
