Evening Dedicated to Memory of Ex-Azerbaijani President Took Place in Moscow

On December 12, an evening took place in the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia dedicated to the memory of ex-Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev and the presentation of the book Heydar Aliyev. Zigzags of Destiny published in Moscow, Trend Special Correspondent in Moscow reports. Opening the evening, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia, Polad Bulbuloglu, spoke about the role of great politician and state figure in the modern history. He said that Heydar Aliyev is the architect of today sovereign Azerbaijan, who has founded the strong bases for the development and prosperity of Azerbaijan, and presently this political course is continued by the Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev. In addition, the Ambassador spoke about the invaluable contribution of Heydar Aliyev to the development of the cultural heritage, adding that most of the art and culture figures are obliged exactly to him and his support.

The meeting also attended by the Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov, Chairman of the International Aviation Committee Tatiana Anodin, Compositor Andrey Eshpay, former first Vice-Primer of Azerbaijan Abbas Abbasov, film director Yuli Gusman, Editor-in-Chief of the Magazine Questions of History Ahmed Iskenderov, Musicologist Janna Dozorseva and others.

Nikolai Zenkovich, the author of the newly published book Heydar Aliyev. Zigzags of Destiny, made a speech. Heydar Aliyev is a great person. It is axiom, he said. In addition, the author said that he had book Most secret relatives about the members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of Communist Party of Soviet Union, covering the period from 1917 to the completion of the Soviet period. Data had been collected about 229 members of the Political Bureau and 1800 their relatives. Only three out of them have achieved successes in life independently. Two of them are not politicians. The only member of the Political Bureau, whose son became a politician independently and led State, is Heydar Aliyev, he said.

Nikolai Zenkovich presented the first copy of his book to the daughter of the Azerbaijani President, Leyla Aliyeva, who participated in the memory evening of Heydar Aliyev.
