Serious Progress is Expected in Economical Co-operation between Azerbaijan and Japan  Ambassador

The Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan, Tadahiro Abe, exclusively informed Trend that it is possible to await serious progress in the economical co-operation between Azerbaijan and Japan in the near future. According to him, positive growth is observed in the commercial-economical co-operation of the two countries. As a result of 2006, the amount of the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Japan equaled $90 mln. The Ambassador said that greater growth is expected in the trade sphere this year. According to him, realizing the decisions of the 2nd meeting of the Intergovernmental Economic Co-operation Commission in November 2006 in Baku may help it.

To participate at the meeting, the representatives of the big private companies of Japan arrived to Azerbaijan. They studied the internal market, investment atmosphere in the country and plan to allocate serious investments into the economy of Azerbaijan. The diplomat said that it is possible to await serious steps in the nearest future.
