Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. S. Ilhamgizi/ Akif Shahbazov, the Vice-Chairman of the Organization Committee for the Preparation for the Ninth Congress of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, has said that the Party led by Rasul Guliyev, still living in exile abroad, has finally managed to rent a place to hold its next regular Party Congress. The Congress will be held in the event hall - "Khazar", located in 118, Samad Vurghun Street.
Notably, after making the decision to change its political course, the oppositional Democratic Party of Azerbaijan has divided its supporters between followers of Mr. Sardar Jalaloghlu and those loyal to Mr. Rasul Guliyev. Since 1996, Azerbaijan's Ex-Speaker, Mr. Rasul Guliyev has become a political refugee.
