Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S.Ilhamgizi / Rustam Shahsuvarov, the deputy chairman of the Azerbaijani Communist Party, has stated that the special meeting of the Party will be held in July.
Presently, the preparations for meeting are in progress. The organizational issues, the structural changes, the election of chairman of the party will be considered.
Shahsuvarov noted that the inactivity of communists is due to Ramiz Ahmadov, the chairman of the party, who does not come to work due to health problems. The party will become active in the near future.
The Communist Party does not participate in any union of opposition parties.
The party was founded under the leadership of Ahmadov. In 1999 the party was represented in the Social Azerbaijani bloc. From 2000 to 2005 Ahmadov had been a member of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
