Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / Musa Guliyev, the Deputy Chairman of the permanent Commission of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), stated on 21 June that the issue on increasing pensions in Azerbaijan will be discussed during the autumn session of the Parliament.

Over the past years, the Azerbaijani Parliament passed many laws on social security, Guliyev said.

There is no necessity to introduce changes and supplements in laws at each session of the Parliament.

"The President issued a decree granting a subsidiary fee to families that lost someone to war, and an increase of minimum pensions by AZM 50.

Beginning from 2007, the living wage in Azerbaijan is determined at AZM 64.

This sum will be increased during the autumn session of the Parliament. The minimum sum of social aid is AZM 35," Guliyev added.
