Tatarstan Offers Azerbaijani Investors Privileged terms for Business (video)

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Aghayeva / Tatarstan is ready to receive investments from Azerbaijan. The Government of Tatarstan Republic has invited Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to put their investments into the Republic on privileged terms, Tatarstan's permanent representative to Azerbaijan, Nail Zaripov, stated at a press conference on 13 July.

A free economic area of Alabuga was established in Tatarstan. Possessing good geographical conditions, it is located 20km from the airport and has an outlet to five seas. Tatarstan's Government offers considerable privileges for property, transport, land and profit to Azerbaijani investors willing to put their money to Alabuga, Tatarstan's representative said.

The diplomat voiced his satisfaction with the turnover between Azerbaijan and Tatarstan, which comprised $100 mln in 2006. Export from Tatarstan made up the most part of the turnover (97%). The goods involving both republics include vehicles, tyres, medicaments, agriculture products and others. Tatarstan supplies helicopters for the Ministry of Emergency Situations, refrigerators for pharmaceutics and petrochemistry products to Azerbaijan, Zaripov reported.
