Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend A.Ismaylova / The President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, invited the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to Tehran to participate in the summit of the Caspian littoral countries. The State Head of Iran highlighted it during joint press-conference with the Azerbaijani President on 21 August in Baku.
According to the State Head of Iran, Ilham Aliyev's participation in the summit scheduled for autumn will assist in uniting the positions and developing co-operation potential. A joint declaration on legal status of Caspian is expected to be signed during the summit. The declaration has already been devised by the Foreign Ministers of the Caspian countries and submitted to the consideration of the Presidents.
