Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.E.Huseynli / European Court on Human Rights began corresponding with the Azerbaijani Government due to appeal of Sardar Jalaloglu, the chairman of the opposition Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (DPA).
The appeal included certain statements due to violation of election rights was submitted to the Azerbaijani Government.
The chairman of the opposition party nominated his candidature from the Binagadi Election District 109 to participate at the parliamentary elections in 2005.
Chingiz Askarov, the representative of Azerbaijan in the European Court, said to the Trend Agency that there was not Jalaloglu's appeal among cases considered by the Court.
The second appeal of DPA's chairman submitted to the European Court was due to his illegal arrest in 2003. The European Court made resolution against Azerbaijan due to violation of the rights f Jalaloglu. The Azerbaijani Government paid € 10,000 to Jalaloglu on the base of the resolution.
