Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynli / The first reporting meeting of the sixth Conference of Ministers of Ecology and Natural Resources under the topic 'Environment for Europe' began on 10 October in Serbia ( Belgrade). The meeting, being attended by Azerbaijan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Huseyngulu Bagirov, has been organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
The meeting is expected to adopt a declaration of Ecology Ministers. The conference brings together 1,200 representatives of from 56 countries, including members of UNECE and Ministers and senior officials from 50 countries. The UNECE Supreme Assembly will discuss the bilateral agreement on environmental protection and strategy of environmental protection of countries of Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.
During the conference, an action of the Ecology Ministers of European countries took place in Belgrade under the slogan of environmental protection. Azerbaijan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Huseyngulu Bagirov, attended the action.
